Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, Shaping the Future
BSU RAK faculty, staff, and students gathered together at the RAKEZ auditorium on the 4th of February, 2023, to celebrate the University’s founding anniversary. Mr. Raja Sajjad Hussain, BSU RAK CEO, addressed the crowd by commemorating the University’s metamorphosis – from its humble beginnings to a vibrant, diverse, and competitive higher education institution in the country that it is today. Dr. Muhammad Nawaz Brohi, Campus Director, also delivered his inspiring message. He remarked that students should continue shaping their dreams, being the heart that makes the University what it is today. Dr. Nino Decenorio, BSU RAK Senior Vice President, also graced the occasion.
One of the event’s highlights was the parade of diverse communities of students in their traditional dresses and ethnicities. Booths were also placed across the auditorium, showcasing students’ entrepreneurial flair, ranging from thrifted shirts to sumptuous meals and body artwork.
The event was capped with live musical performances. It was a day filled with joy and pride as felt by the University’s heart and soul – the students, faculty, and staff.
